WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MEET IN SPECIAL SESSION

  

The Washington County Commissioners Court will be meeting this Tuesday in special session.

Among the action items on the agenda is the approval of an updated Memorandum of Agreement with Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in College Station for EMS blood product services. This would replace the previous agreement, which is over seven years old.

Another item is the approval of using, Emergency Management seminars, dues, and mileage accounts for travel expenses associated with in-person interviews for Fire Services Director applicants.

Also at the meeting, Commissioners will be voting on a resolution to reaffirm the official courthouse steps as the designated location for public  tax sales, public tax resales, and all authorized Constable sales in Washington County. In addition to that, the resolution includes approving the Courthouse Annex for the alternate location, and authorizing the constables and deputy constables to conduct the sales in accordance with Texas law.

They will also be approving a proclamation naming April 2026 as Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.

Commissioners will wrap up the meeting by hearing reports from various county departments including Sheriff, County Clerk, District Clerk, Auditor, Justice of the Peace, Tax/Assessor Collector, Treasurer, Constables, Elections, and Veterans.

The Washington County Commissioners Court meets on Tuesday at 9am at the Washington County Courthouse.
