BURTON CITY COUNCIL TO DISCUSS BID FOR FLAG POLE REPAIRS

  

The Burton City Council will discuss repairs for the flag poles on Highway 290 at its meeting tonight (Tuesday).

The council will consider a supplemental bid to complete the flag pole repairs.  The initial bid from Hepler Services in Round Top came in at $1,250 to install new flag pole lights, while the new bid would add $950 to install new wiring for the lighting.

Also at tonight’s meeting, the council will take up action on an interlocal election contract and agreement between the city and Burton ISD, referring to joint polling locations on Election Day.

The council will also reconsider conveying property at the end of East Branch Street and the road formerly known as South Colorado Street to American Kinetics Inc.  The item was tabled when councilmembers met last month.

The council will meet at 5:30 p.m. at Burton City Hall.
