SGT. RANDY THUMANN HONORED FOR ‘LARGEST COCAINE SEIZURE’ OF 2023

A well-known drug interdiction sergeant with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office has been recognized for his work in a large drug bust last year.
Sgt. Randy Thumann was presented an award last week for the “Largest Cocaine Seizure” in 2023. According to Sheriff Keith Korenek, Sgt. Thumann seized 220 pounds of cocaine on November 7, 2023.
Sgt. Thumann was honored at the annual Blue Lightning Operations Center Gulf Coast HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area) conference in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Over his career with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Sgt. Thumann has seized thousands of pounds of narcotics and millions of dollars being transported illegally.
The mission of the Gulf Coast HIDTA is to reduce illicit drug availability by targeting, disrupting and eliminating drug trafficking organizations through collaborative and cooperative efforts of participating law enforcement agencies.
Keep up the good work, fill the jails to get the trash off the roads.
Well deserved honor for this law enforcement officer that should be shared with his K-9 partners too. Hard to imagine the Cartels use our hard earned tax dollar paid hiways to transport drugs to kill us and destroy our freedom. Drug dealers need and automatic death penalty in my opinion. We should declare war on Cartels the sooner the better.
