DEATH OF FORMER BRENHAM MAN IN GONZALES CO. BEING INVESTIGATED AS HOMICIDE

A homicide investigation is underway in Gonzales County involving the death of a man from Brenham.
The Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers are actively investigating the death of 33-year-old Brandon Oquinn Rasberry as a homicide.
Gonzales County Sheriff Keith Schmidt said the incident took place January 18th at the Lazy J Ranch and RV Park north of Nixon, about an hour east of San Antonio.
According to the Gonzales Inquirer, Rasberry was originally from Brenham and worked in Nixon at Holmes Foods. Brenham ISD officials said he attended Brenham High School from 2006-07 as a freshman and sophomore.
The Inquirer said he had gone to the Lazy J Ranch to rent an RV.
