PETS LOST IN STORAGE BUILDING FIRE EAST OF BRENHAM
A storage building was destroyed in a late-night fire Thursday east of Brenham.
The Brenham and Meyersville Fire Departments responded just before 11:15 p.m. to a structure fire in the 500 block of Old Navasota Road. Units arrived to find a storage building burning.
Firefighters spoke with the owner of the building, who confirmed it was not occupied by any people.
The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported, but the building was a total loss. The owner’s pets were lost in the building.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a heat lamp.
