CUBETTES WIN BOTH GAMES ON DAY TWO OF THE LEADOFF CLASSIC

Brenham now 4-1 on the season

Halle Scheel slides home to score the first run against Pearland on a Kenley Mikolajchak single and stolen base.

The Brenham Cubettes opened day two of the Leadoff Classic with a 7-6 victory over Pearland this (Friday) afternoon.

Pearland scored three in the top of the first, but Brenham countered with four runs in the bottom of the first.

Pearland added a run in the second to tie it, but the Cubettes tacked on three more runs in the bottom of the second to take the lead for good.

Kaylyn Rodriguez led the Cubettes at the plate with two hits, an RBI, and she also scored twice.

Avery Maurer was two for three at the plate with a run scored.

Annie Beckendorf had a hit and two RBIs.

Della Jasinski (3-1) picked up her third win of the season.

Presley Parker

The Cubettes also won their second game over Danbury 3-1 tonight (Friday).

Presley Parker (1-0) got the win in the circle, while Della Jasinski picked up a save.

Sarah Mabie had a walk, a double, and scored two of the three runs for Brenham.

The Leadoff Classic wraps up Saturday with a doubleheader. The Cubettes will face Dawson at 3pm, followed by St. Agnes at 5pm. Michael Rose will have the call of the action beginning with the pregame at 2:35pm.
