KATIE ROBERTS NAMED BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS’ ATHLETICS COORDINATOR

Brenham Cubette Head Softball Coach Katie Roberts will be taking on some new responsibilities.

Brenham ISD has announced that Roberts has been promoted to Brenham High School Girls Athletics Coordinator.

New Athletic Director Danny Youngs said that Coach Roberts understands the Cubette pride and tradition as well as anyone. Youngs added that he feels like Roberts is going to do a great job of leading the girl’s staff and athletes as they move forward.

For the past five years, Coach Roberts has served the district as an Algebra teacher at the high school in addition to serving as the Head Softball Coach.

She will begin her new duties immediately in addition to continuing to serve the district as the softball head coach.

Before returning to her alma mater, Roberts was the head coach at Santa Fe High School.

Last season, she helped guide the Cubettes to the playoffs. Her current record as a head coach is 165-77-4.

Coach Roberts and her family reside in Brenham.  Her husband Phillip is a coach and teacher at Brenham High School, and they have two children, Emry and Cooper.
