Snook ISD has named a lone finalist for school district superintendent.
The Snook School Board last week unanimously selected Dr. Megan Pape for the position.
Dr. Pape has served 13 years in public education, most recently as the Director of Inclusive Learning and Innovation at Bellville ISD. She has also worked as the Assistant Director of Special Education in Bryan ISD, an educational diagnostician at Cypress-Fairbanks and Burton ISDs, and an elementary teacher in Brenham ISD.
Dr. Pape holds a Master of Education degree from Sam Houston State University and a Doctor of Education from the University of Houston in Professional Leadership-Special Populations. She has also served as a presenter at state leadership conferences.
Snook ISD received over 25 applications for the position, which is currently held by Brenda Krchnak, who in March announced her plans to retire. Her last day as superintendent will be July 1st, but she will remain an employee of the district through December 31st to assist with the transition.
The board is scheduled to officially hire Dr. Pape as superintendent when it meets June 27th.
