WASHINGTON COUNTY LADIES LIONS CLUB MAKE BIG DONATIONS

  

The Washington County Ladies Lions Club announced some big donations at their meeting last (Monday) night.

The Ladies Lions Club held a recent fundraiser to target hunger.  The organization is making a $5,000 donation to Brenham Bread Partners.

Joe Williams and Charlotte Mulligan represented the Bread Partners at the meeting.  Williams spoke about how their group began, the purchasing and donations of food, how they select recipients, and how they handle their food distribution.

The Ladies Lions Club also announced a $5,000 donation to Lions Club International to help fight hunger.

In addition to that, they are making a donation to the Washington County Firefighters Association, who have been very busy fighting all of the recent fires.
