BRENHAM POLICE MAKE WARRANT ARRESTS FOR DWI, NO DRIVER’S LICENSE
Brenham police reported warrant arrests on Tuesday and early this (Wednesday) morning.
Close to 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Officer Eric Crosby initiated a traffic stop in the 700 block of Pleasantview Avenue for a vehicle violation. During the traffic stop, police say the driver, 22-year-old Jaquaveon Davis of Brenham, was found to have two active warrants for No Driver’s License issued by Washington County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace. Davis was taken into custody for the warrants without incident and transported to the Washington County Jail.
A few minutes after 6:30 a.m. today, Officer LeDarion Jenkins responded to the 1800 block of Longwood Drive in reference to a complainant. Upon investigation, police determined that 29-year-old Jhonnatan Vargas Garcia of Houston had an active Washington County warrant and wished to turn himself in. After confirming the warrant was valid, Garcia was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Washington County Jail on the warrant for Driving While Intoxicated.
