37TH ANNUAL KOLACHE FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND IN CALDWELL
One of Burleson County’s biggest events is happening this weekend in Caldwell.
Pre-festival activities for the 37th Annual Kolache Festival open tonight (Friday) at the Burleson County Czech Heritage Museum with a dinner at 6:30 p.m. and dance with the Lost Cause Band from 7 to 10 p.m. The festival officially begins tomorrow (Saturday) morning.
Burleson County Chamber Executive Director Susan Mott says the day will be chock-full of family-friendly fun.
Opening ceremonies begin at 9 a.m. tomorrow in downtown Caldwell with the crowning of the 2022 Miss Kolache Festival. That will be followed by a performance at 9:30 a.m. from the SPJST Youth Beseda Dancers and a Battle of the Bands between The Moravians and The Czechaholics at 11 a.m.
Guests can also look forward to shopping at hundreds of vendors, the street rod and classic car show, a quilt show, the Kolache Krunch 5K, and the popular kolache baking and eating contests.
Admission for the festival is free.
