TOURISM ADVISORY BOARD TO MEET THURSDAY

  

The Brenham Tourism Advisory Board will meet for the first time in 2023 on Thursday.

Leading the meeting off will be the election of a board chair and vice chair for a one-year term expiring at the end of the year.

Next, board members will go into work session to receive an update on short-term rentals, including growth in 2022 and usage of the Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) collections platform, GovOS.

The board will hear several other reports, including information on changes to the Datafy visitor information dashboard, a Texas Music Friendly report, data on HOT collections and the first round of tourism grants for 2023, the Washington County Expo, the first quarter report and 2022 highlights from the Visit Brenham Destination Marketing Organization, and administrative items. 

The board will meet Thursday at 9 a.m. in the Bullock Ballroom at The Barnhill Center.
