LADIES LIONS CLUB ATTENDING MIDWINTER CONFERENCE

  

The Washington County Ladies Lions Club is heading to the District 2-S5 Midwinter Conference this Saturday in Gonzales.

Prior to the conference, the Ladies Lions have been taking part in the organization’s Eyeglass Recycling Program.

Lions Club chapters have been collecting eyeglasses for recycling and giving to children and adults living in low to middle income communities to help improve their quality of life.

The Washington County Ladies Lions Club collected 246 pairs of recycled eyeglasses, along with 49 pairs of sunglasses, and five sets of lenses that they will deliver at the conference.

The organization also collected 62 eyeglass cases, which are going to be donated to Goodwill.

The Ladies Lions Club thanks their supporters in Brenham and Washington County for their generous donations to the program.
