ONE EXTRICATED FROM VEHICLE AFTER EARLY MORNING CRASH
One person had to be extricated from their vehicle after an accident early this (Thursday) morning, west of Brenham.
The Brenham Fire Department was dispatched just before 3 a.m. to Highway 290 West at FM 2679 for a report of a crash with entrapment. Units arrived on location to find a single vehicle rollover with one person entrapped.
According to DPS Sergeant Justin Ruiz, a 1999 Ford Econoline van was traveling westbound on the highway when it drifted off the road, overcorrected and went into the center median, where it rolled.
Members of the Brenham and Berlin fire departments used the Jaws of Life to remove the patient from the vehicle.
Sgt. Ruiz said the driver was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Brenham with non-incapacitating injuries.
