MAGNOLIA WEST RUN-RULES BRENHAM CUBS 11-1

It was a rough night at the ballpark for the Brenham Cubs as they lost to Magnolia West 11-1. 

The Mustangs roughed up Brenham starter Lane Sparks for eight runs in just two thirds of an inning.  Magnolia West scored all 11 runs of their runs in the first three innings.

The Cubs scored their only run in the bottom of the fourth when Rylan Wooten hit an RBI double to score Grady Gee. 

Wooten's double and a single by Lane Sparks were Brenham's only hits in the game.

The win puts Magnolia West into sole possession of first place in the district, while the Cubs drop into a tie for sixth place.

The series continues on Friday night in Magnolia at 7pm, 6:35pm pregame on KWHI.
