MISTY LUCHERK RUNNING FOR BURTON SCHOOL BOARD
Voters in Burton ISD are deciding who will fill three at-large seats on the Burton School Board.
Four candidates are seeking election, one being Misty Lucherk. A Burton ISD graduate along with her husband and two sons, Lucherk has served on the school board for 12 years and has worked for 27 years at Germania Insurance, where she is currently a total loss adjustor.
Lucherk says she views Burton ISD students as an extension of her family and that she seeks to always put them first.
Lucherk says she is proud of the board’s work to improve Burton ISD facilities through the bond project and feels the school district has made great strides in academics, athletics and overall student involvement.
Along with facility upgrades, upping employee pay is something that Lucherk values highly. Ultimately, she wishes to provide students the best environment possible to succeed.
Early voting is underway through Tuesday, May 2nd. Election Day is Saturday, May 6th.
