WASHINGTON CO. APPRAISAL DISTRICT APPROVES 2023-24 BUDGET AFTER PUBLIC HEARING
The Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors adopted the 2023-24 Fiscal Year budget at its meeting Tuesday.
The approved budget comes in at $1,632,220, up $109,220 from the past year’s budget. The increase is for an added appraisal clerk position, accounting for potential raises, and adding contracts for sales reports and digital library for permanent records.
The budget approval came after a public hearing where one resident was present and asked questions about the budget.
Chief Appraiser Dyann White informed board members in her report that appraisal notices are scheduled to be mailed out on May 1st or shortly afterward. Preliminary value projections will be certified to local taxing entities on or before April 30th.
