ANDE BOSTAIN SEEKING RETURN TO BURTON SCHOOL BOARD

Ande Bostain

In a week’s time, Burton residents will elect three trustees to serve on the school board.

Four candidates are in the running, including Ande Bostain.  Bostain has worked for nearly 38 years at the City of Brenham, where he serves as gas superintendent.  He is also a former trustee, having been elected in May 2015 and serving until May 2018, being reappointed in December 2018, winning a special election in May 2019 and remaining on the board until November 2020.

Bostain says seeing children in Burton ISD succeed and thrive in society is a primary reason he has served—and wants to continue to serve—on the board.

For Bostain, keeping teachers and staff members happy with competitive pay is a focus, as is getting the bond improvements done and making sure the community stays in the know about all that is happening with them.

Bostain feels the small student-teacher ratio is a very positive aspect of Burton ISD and wants to ensure that remains a key component as the district grows.

Early voting wraps up on Tuesday.  Election Day is Saturday, May 6th.
