APRIL 2023 BUILDING PERMITS UP NEARLY $1.3 MILLION
The City of Brenham saw almost a $1.3 million increase in building permit totals during the month April.
In the latest report released today (Wednesday), the city issued 32 permits totaling $8,801,140. By comparison, in April of the previous year, they issued 42 permits totaling $7,542,297.
Sundance Construction was the recipient of the two largest permits for the month.
The largest was for $2,769,547, and is going for the construction of Burlington Coat Factory, which will be located at 994 U.S. Highway 290 East. The second largest was for $1,846,596, and is going for the construction of a Baker Katz shell building, which is being located at 980 U.S. Highway 290 East.
The third largest permit is going to Regas Contracting in the amount of $1.2 million for the construction of a Chick-Fil-A restaurant to be located at 1161 U.S. Highway 290 East.
So far for the first four months of the year, the City of Brenham has issued 125 permits totaling $14,359,722. Through the same period last year, they issued 151 permits for $22,886,969.
