BRENHAM UIL UNIFIED TEAM PLACE 8TH AT STATE MEET
Brenham ISD’s UIL Unified Track & Field Team competed at the State Meet in Abilene yesterday (Tuesday).
According to Unified Coach Angela Moore, even though they had the smallest team competing, they finished in a tie for 8th place.
Brenham Unified advanced to state after finishing fourth at the Regional Meet.
At the State Meet, Moore said they beat the team that had won the Regional Meet the previous week.
The Brenham team included S’Maeya Britton, LaJayda Cross, Joseph DuBowik, Kody Elder, Lyann Gajeske, Clayton Grimm, Riley Janes, Carmen McWilliams, Ava Redman, Connor Schlottmann, Aiden Schulz, and Caroline Schulz.
They competed in a number of events such as the 100 Meter Dash, the 4x100 Meter Relay, Shot Put, the Standing Long Jump, and the Running Long Jump.
In addition to the team members, Moore also thanked her assistant coaches Cheryl Bennett-Preston, and Kevin Moore, along with younger supporters, Sydney Moore and Bryson Preston for all their hard work.
