Brenham Police Chief Ron Parker has recovered from a recent stroke and is going back to work.

Parker came to today’s (Thursday) city council meeting to visit with councilmembers in person for the first time since being hospitalized in College Station in March.

Parker told the council that he feels great and is glad to be “back in the saddle again.”  He said he appreciates all of the thoughts and prayers extended to him over the past few months.

Parker has led the Brenham Police Department since March 2020, serving previously as the chief of police in La Porte.  Captain Lloyd Powell served as the acting chief in Parker’s absence.
