The 133rd Brenham Maifest celebration officially began Wednesday with the Friends of Maifest Kick-off Picnic at Fireman’s Park.
The picnic is held each year to recognize the sponsors and volunteers behind Maifest. Guests enjoyed German food, refreshments and entertainment, along with a children’s Maipole dance and ribbon cutting.
