SENIOR MAIFEST ROYALTY HONORED AT CORONATION
The Senior Royalty for the 133rd Brenham Maifest was celebrated Friday evening at Fireman’s Park in Brenham.

Senior Queen Lauren Ruth Hook and Senior King Ashton Kiel Behrens reigned over the court of “Musical Memories.” The ceremony showcased the power of music and how it has brought people together through various genres and eras, from the 50s, 70s and 80s to country, rock and roll and today’s hits.
Saturday will feature the Junior Coronation beginning at 6:30 p.m., with Junior Queen Virginia Kate Priesmeyer and Junior King Luke Robert Hyatt over the court of “The Enchanted Tree House.”
The day kicks off with the Maifest parade through downtown Brenham at 10:30 a.m. KWHI will broadcast the parade live starting at 10 a.m. and will livestream it on Facebook, sponsored by Mr. Gatti’s. The Maifestival grounds will open after the parade for dance performances, games and beer tasting. The Mighty Thomas Carnival will be open at 11 a.m.
Saturday’s musical entertainers will be Das Ist Lustig from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Isaak Klaus and the Lederhosen Junkies from 4 to 7 p.m., and Brandon Rhyder from 10 to 11:30 p.m.
