BRENHAM POLICE MAKE PAIR OF DWI ARRESTS

  

Brenham Police made a pair of DWI arrests in two separate traffic stops over the weekend.

Saturday night just after 8pm, Police were dispatched to the 3000 block of State Highway 36 South in reference to a welfare concern. 

Officer Stetson Whitley located the vehicle in question traveling westbound at the 2000 block of FM 389. 

Whitley initiated a traffic stop after observing the vehicle weaving and failing to maintain a single lane of traffic.

The driver, 29-year-old Taylor Lane Ginn of Brenham, was discovered to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

Due to his performance on the standardized field sobriety tests, Ginn was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Container and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Then on Sunday morning around 2am, Brenham Police responded to a business located in the 2800 block of State Highway 36 South.

Employees at a restaurant reported a driver asleep behind the wheel.

Officer Matthew Brown located the vehicle in the 900 block of the Highway 290 West Service Road.

The driver, 22-year-old Brand Rodriguez of Brenham, was discovered to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

Rodriguez was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Container, and transported to the Washington County Jail.
