MOTORCYCLIST DEAD AFTER CRASH NEAR PLANTERSVILLE
A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon near Plantersville.
The accident happened around 3:15 p.m. on FM 1774, about half a mile north of Highway 105.
According to DPS Sergeant Justin Ruiz, a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle traveling northbound drove on the wrong side of the road and struck a trailer being towed by a southbound 2021 Peterbilt 18-wheeler.
The driver of the motorcycle, 25-year-old Harley Stabler of Iola, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.
