BNSF TO PERFORM CROSSING REPAIRS AT WEST MAIN STREET, ALAMO STREET

BNSF Railway is planning repair work next week at two railroad crossings in downtown Brenham.

Emergency repair work is scheduled for the driving surfaces at the West Main Street and Alamo Street crossings.  Repairs will take place on Tuesday for West Main Street and Thursday for Alamo Street.

A road closure is anticipated with a detour and should be in place for no more than 12 hours daily.  Traffic on each construction day will detour from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  1. The track crossing on South Baylor is the roughest in town. Park St has been redone. Wish Baylor would soon. It has much more traffic. Wouldn’t hurt for city to smooth Baylor on the town side too.
I am training myself to go around that location.

    1. It’s only todays. Compared to how many years it will help traffic? This is progress.

  2. I hope MLK is open both ways otherwise not going to be good for traffic detours around Brenham.
