The music of the ‘80s will come to downtown Brenham tomorrow (Saturday) night for the last “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” concert of the summer.

The Spicolis, hailing from Houston, will pay tribute to the MTV generation super groups when they take the stage at 7 p.m. at the corner of Alamo and Baylor Streets.

Brenham Main Street Manager Leigh Linden says The Spicolis have been a hit at each “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” concert they have performed at, with a high-energy mix of pop and rock music.

The Stray Katz Car Club will once again host its popular car cruise-in on the west end of Alamo Street.  Local businesses and vendors will offer various food and drinks to enjoy.

The free concert is presented by the City of Brenham and sponsored by Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union, Brannon Industrial Group, Strand Associates and Upchurch Yates Law Firm.

Prior to the main concert, the local musician series hosted by Visit Brenham on the Alamo Alley stage will have soulful tunes from Gary Durrenberger from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and during The Spicolis’ first intermission.  The Zythological Society of North America will be holding “Hot Nights, Cold Brews”, a craft beer tasting event, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Ant Street Inn.

KTEX-106’s Trail Boss Troy will introduce The Spicolis on stage.
