ST. JOHN AME CHURCH DONATES BACKPACKS TO BRENHAM MIDDLE SCHOOL
St. John AME Church and Lay Organization of Brenham has donated 50 backpacks and school supplies to Brenham Middle School.

The donations were presented to Brenham Middle School Assistant Principals Pamela Plagens and Karen Brown.
Reverend Dr. Samuel Powell Jr. said the church is thankful for the opportunity to be of service to the community, and its goal is to "make an impact on the lives of the residents of Washington County."
Lay Organization President Lee Taylor said the church has done this for several years as a way to continue supporting Brenham ISD.
