BURTON BATTLES LOUISE IN DISTRICT PLAY

The Burton Panther Football Team is looking to build on last week's victory as they get ready for a district game against Louise later tonight (Friday).

The Panthers are coming off of a 36-14 win over Yorktown, which snapped a three-game losing streak. The win improved Burton to 2-4 overall, and 1-1 in district play.

Yorktown's first district win came against Runge, who is forfeiting all of their games this season due to a lack of players, and then last week they survived a late surge to defeat Somerville 29-22.

Yorktown is lead by QB Conner Gonzalez (So.), who has completed 52 of 78 passes for 555 yards, with five touchdowns to just two interceptions.

RB Tayveon Kimble (Sr.) is both their leading rusher and receiver. He has carried the ball 30 times for 394 yards and six touchdowns. He also has 16 catches for 186 yards and two touchdowns.

Burton Head Coach Jason Hodde gave a scouting report on Yorktown.
