BRENHAM AND BURTON VOLLEYBALL LOOKING TO SET UP BIG GAMES FOR NEXT WEEK

The Brenham Cubettes and the Burton Lady Panthers are looking to set up some big matches for next week if they can come through with wins this (Friday) evening.

The Brenham Cubettes are on the road at Magnolia West this (Friday) evening. Brenham, who has already clinched a playoff spot, is 11-1 in district and just one game behind College Station for first place. Magnolia West, who is 6-6 in district, is tied with Magnolia for third place.

Due to it being Brenham's Homecoming, the start time was moved up to 4:30pm.

If Brenham wins, and College Station defeats Bryan Rudder, that would set up a match for the District 21-5A Championship on Tuesday night at the Brenham High School Gym.

Meanwhile, the Burton Lady Panthers are getting ready to host the Somerville Lady Yeguas in their Homecoming Match this (Friday) afternoon. First serve is scheduled for 4pm at the Burton High School Gym.

The Lady Panthers are 5-1 in district, and currently sit one game behind Milano, who is 6-0, for first place. If Burton beats Somerville, and Milano defeats Mumford, that would set up a match for the District 25-2A Championship on Tuesday evening at the Burton High School Gym.
