BRENHAM AMERICAN LEGION, AUXILIARY TO HOST OKTOBERFEST SUNDAY

  

The Brenham American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary are getting ready for their third annual Oktoberfest celebration on Sunday.

Festivities will be held at the American Legion Hall, 903 North Park Street, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with German food, drinks and entertainment all on tap.

A ticketed barbecue pork steak meal will be served dine-in or drive-thru from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Beer, sausage, sauerkraut, pretzels and desserts will also be available.

Music will be provided by Alli & The Polka Dots and The Dujka Brothers.

Other activities will include a silent auction, a cornhole tournament at 1:30 p.m. and a masskrugstemmen, or stein holding contest, at 2 p.m.

General admission at the door is $10, while children under 12 get in free.
