WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MEET TUESDAY

The Washington County Commissioners Court has an agenda of mostly routine items at their next meeting on Tuesday.

The Commissioners will be getting an update on the Courthouse Chiller. At their October 17th meeting, commissioners authorized Washington County Facility Manager Bobby Branham to seek invitation for bids on an 80-ton water cooled chiller replacement using American Rescue Plan Act funds.

Branham said the current chiller has been in use since 1985.  Questions for bids are scheduled to end on November 9 with bids scheduled to be opened on November 13, and accepted on November 21.

Another item has the commissioners voting to remove Brenham Fire Department Assistant Chief Brian Scheffer, and Brenham ISD Head of Security James Huffty from the Brazos Valley Council of Government Homeland Security Committee.

The proposal is for them to be replaced on the committee by Brenham Police Administrative Sergeant Steven Eilert, and Mark Pennybacker of the Washington County Citizens on Patrol.

Also at the meeting, the Commissioners will hear the quarterly 9-1-1 report, approve a bid from the Urban Foresters for tree removal, and discuss a formal notice by Corix Utilities for a water line installation across the Wellmann Road right-of-way in Precinct One.

They will also be approving the final plat for the Gates Crossing Subdivision in Precinct One, placing Sunset Hills Estates in Precinct Two into a one-year maintenance period, and reducing their bond to 50%, and casting votes for the election of the Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors.

The Washington County Commissioners Court meetS Tuesday at 9am at the Washington County Courthouse.
