WCHLA TO HOST GINGERBREAD HOUSE AUCTION THURSDAY

  

Washington County residents can give back to local seniors this holiday season in a festive way tonight (Thursday).

The Washington County Healthy Living Association will host a gingerbread house auction at the Margaret E. Blizzard Senior Activity Center in Brenham.  Numerous gingerbread houses created by local students, businesses and organizations will be available for bid.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the live auction with Roger Chambers begins at 6 p.m.  A silent auction will also take place, and refreshments will be served.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Senior Center and the services it provides. 

The Senior Center serves dine-in lunches and delivers meals to homebound residents.  It also offers activities like exercise classes, games, quilting, sewing and meditation.
