PLANNORTH SEEKING TO HONOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS WITH NEW AWARD
A Brenham business is looking to recognize outstanding members of the Washington County community by way of a new award.
PlanNorth Architectural Company is seeking nominations for the Community Star Award, which is meant to honor those who show integrity, work ethic and leadership by example.
According to the award description, the honor is intended for “the many in our community who serve on a daily basis and are largely unrecognized.”
PlanNorth Principal Architect Katie Burch says over the past year, upon reflecting on how the community has supported them, it became evident that it was time to “extend our reach to circles wider than our own, and to create opportunities for other groups through what we’ve been given.”
Burch also says that Washington County is a community that values the contributions of those who work hard every day and appreciates each other even in hard times. She says PlanNorth wants to “shine the light of those people whenever we can.”
The award recipient will be recognized in late February and will be given the opportunity to “bless” a local nonprofit or charity of their choice in a unique celebration.
Nominations are due by Friday, January 12th.
Paper applications are available outside PlanNorth’s office at 107 South Baylor Street. An electronic nomination form can be found here.
Forms may be submitted to Carlie Zorn by email at carlie@plannorth.com or by calling 979-451-1556.
