MLK PARADE IN BRENHAM NOW SET FOR FEB. 17
A new date has been set for the Washington County Juneteenth Association’s inaugural Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade.
Originally scheduled for January 15th but postponed due to winter weather, the event is now planned for next Saturday, February 17th. It will still start at Hattie Mae Flowers Park in Brenham at 10:30 a.m. and end with a celebration at Henderson Park.
Entries can line up for the parade beginning at 8 a.m. There is no entry fee.
Organizations invited to take part include churches, dance groups, businesses, students, band members, trail ride groups, car clubs, and themed trucks with trailers.
All activities are free and open to the public.
