BURTON HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL IN TOURNAMENT PLAY

The Burton Lady Panther Softball Team is taking part in the Cameron Yoe Tournament. On Thursday, the Lady Panthers beat the Cameron JV 11-2. Bailey Glaesmann got the win. Amaya Williams delivered the big blow with a Grand Slam.

In the second game of the day on Thursday, Burton lost to the Cameron Varsity 4-0. Glaesmann took the tough luck loss. The Lady Panthers were limited to just four hits in the game.

Then earlier this (Friday) morning, Burton came back to beat the Cameron Varsity 3-1. Glaesmann got the win. Williams hit a two-run homer, and Aerynn Huntsman had an RBI single.

Meanwhile on the baseball side, the Burton Panthers opened the the Schulenburg Tournament with a 7-2 loss to the Shorthorns.

Today (Friday), they are scheduled to play Katy Faith at 11am and Sugarland Logo Prep at 1pm.
