BRENHAM POLICE ARREST THREE ON TUESDAY

Brenham police arrested three people for various charges on Tuesday.

Shortly after 7 a.m., Officer Brown responded to a complainant call in the 300 block of Kerr Street.  44-year-old Brad Richards of Brenham was discovered to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Jasper County for Violation of Probation.  Richards was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked in and released to jail staff.

Just before 9:45 a.m., Officer Conforti stopped a vehicle in the 2100 block of Highway 290 West.  Investigation found the vehicle to be a salvage vehicle with fraudulent registration.  The driver, 40-year-old Javier Reyes Garcia Jr. of Beaumont, was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail for Nonrepairable and Salvage Motor Vehicle Violation, No Driver’s License and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility Second Offense.

Approaching 1 p.m., Officer Brown located a wanted person in the 2100 block of South Market Street.  Police say 26-year-old Derek Klehm of Washington had an active warrant for his arrest.  A probable cause search was conducted, and a narcotic was located.  Klehm was booked into the Washington County Jail for Possession of Marijuana Under 2 oz. and a warrant for Violation of County Burn Ban.
