NICHOLSON LAKE RV PARK ANNOUNCES CHILI COOK-OFF WINNERS

  

The Nicholson Lake RV Park in Chappell Hill has announced the winners for their  2024 Chili Cook-Off.

Their Hospitality Winners were the Taste Buds, which consisted of Cody Neuman, Cori Gurka, Victoria Gurka, and Melissa Wallace.

For the Bloody Mary competition, the First-Place team was Big Daddy, made up of Jeremy Gurka and Hunter Hughes.  Second-Place went to the Rookies, Margarita and Ronaldo Alaniz. Third-Place went to the Ol’ Timers, Bob and Robert Gurka.

For Chef’s Choice, First-Place went to the Drunken Armadilla team of Al Oldag and Travis Kelley. The Rookies won Second-Place. The Country Boy Cookers team consisting of Jerry Gurka, John Powers, Ed Hoefelmeyer, and Courtney Turrin, finished in Third-Place.

In the Chili Competition, the Rookies won First-Place. Second-Place went to Tristian Montgomery of Montgomery’s Grilling Grizzly. Third-Place went to the County Tyme Cookers, Diane Laskoskie, Eugene Laskoskie, and Vanee Toner.

Meanwhile, the Rookies would also go on to win First-Place in the Beans competition, the Country Tyme Cookers were in Second-Place, and the Drunken Armadilla team finished in Third-Place.
