BRENHAM JUNIOR HIGH STUDENTS COMPETE AT TEXAS HISTORY DAY

  

Seven Brenham Junior High School students competed this past weekend at the Texas History Day state contest in Austin.

Students from around the state showcased a variety of projects at the event, presented by the Texas State Historical Association and co-hosted by the Bullock Texas State History Museum and the University of Texas at Austin.  This year’s theme was “Turning Points in History”.

Among Brenham’s entries were Colton Bilski and Collin Siemsglusz, who participated in the Group Website category with their project titled “The Battle of Saratoga”.

Grady Burch took part in Individual Documentary with “Weapons of WWII”.

Isabelle Hyatt and Maggie Thibodeaux’s Group Performance project covered “The Organization of the Boston Tea Party”.

Sophia Jalomo participated in Individual Performance with “The Hidden Side of War”.

Leone Hernandez wrote in the Paper division on “Midway: The Battle that Turned the Tide in the Pacific War”.
