FRUEHLING SAENGERFEST COMING TO BELLVILLE ON APRIL 28

  

The public is invited to attend the 21st Annual Fruehling Saengerfest, which is coming to Bellville on Sunday, April 28.

Saengerfest is a German Spring singing festival that is being put on by the Bellville Lions Club and the Bluebonnet Chapter of the Texas German Society.

The activities begin that morning the Concordia Hall in Bellville. Admission is free and they also have free kids’ activities.

A BBQ chicken and sausage meal will be served starting at 11am at a cost of $15 per plate. They will also have sausage and sauerkraut, as well as homemade desserts.

If you are not attending the event, but would like a to-go plate, they are going to be served from 10:30am-1:30pm at the Austin County Annex at 800 East Wendt Street.

Musical entertainment will be provided by the Round Top Brass Band, the Bellville High School Polka Band, the Polka Friends, the Concordia Gesang Verein, the Houston Liederkranz, the La Grange High School German Dancers, and the Houston Saengerbund.

Other activities include a cake walk, vendors of German and handmade crafts, a cornhole tournament, and a strong-arm contest.
