TASK FORCE INVESTIGATION LEADS TO AUSTIN COUNTY DRUG ARRESTS

Two people were arrested in Austin County on drug charges after authorities raided a hotel room on Thursday morning.

Around 5am, members of the Austin County Regional Special Response Team executed arrest and search warrants at the America’s Inn in Sealy.

The operation was the result of an ongoing investigation by the Westside Narcotics Task Force.

Task Force members had been investigating reports of illegal narcotics being sold at one of the rooms in the hotel, which is located on the 2600 Block of Highway 36.

James Pauley (Austin County Jail)

The two suspects, 40-year-old James Pauley and 38-year-old Shawna Biscaro were taken into custody without incident.

Officers also located methamphetamine during the operation.

Both defendants had active arrest warrants for Manufacture and/or Delivery of a Controlled Substance.  

Additional charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance were filed on the suspects at the time of their arrest.

They were booked into the Austin County Jail.
