BELLVILLE MAN ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES AFTER POLICE CHASE

A high-speed chase on Friday morning led to a driver’s arrest in Sealy on multiple charges.

Just after 11:30am, a Sealy Police Officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 1100 block of Highway 36.

The driver of the vehicle, who was later identified as Weston Starks of Bellville, failed to stop and attempted to evade arrest from the officer.

Sealy Police patrol units pursued the vehicle until it crashed through a fence in the 7500 block of FM 1093, and became stuck in the mud.

Starks was arrested and taken to the Austin County Jail for charges of

Felony Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle, Driving While License Invalid due to a Previous Conviction, and Possession of Marijuana. 

He was also served with felony warrants for Theft of Property $30,000 to $150,000 and Theft of Property $2,500 to $30,000, as well as two Sealy Municipal Court Traffic Warrants.
