BELLVILLE’S POENITZSCH WINS REGION 6 SUPERINTENDENT OF THE YEAR

  

Bellville ISD Superintendent Dr. Nicole Poenitzsch has received a big honor.

Poenitzsch has been named as the 2024 Region 6 Superintendent of the Year by the Region 6 Education Service Center.

She has been the Superintendent of Bellville ISD since July 2019 after coming over from the Dripping Springs ISD.

The Region 6 Education Service Center is based in Huntsville.  It is made up of 15 counties, over 60 school districts, private schools, and charter schools, over 150,000 students, and over 20,000 teachers and staff members.

On social media, Poenitzsch said that she is very honored, humble, and grateful to receive the award.

She added that she is blessed to work with great people to create incredible experiences and opportunities for their learners.

Dr. Poenitzsch is one of the nominees from 19 regions across Texas that are also in the running for the State Superintendent of the Year Award.  

She was nominated for the honor by the members of the Bellville School Board.
