BRENHAM CROSS COUNTRY OPENS SEASON AT CY WOODS INVITATIONAL

The Brenham High School Cross Country Teams opened their season at the Cy Woods Invitational this past Friday. The Cubs and Cubettes competed against a field made up of mostly 6A teams, with Brenham being among the few 5A teams in the field.

For the Varsity Boys, Alan Guerrero led the Cubs by finishing with a time of 12:33.60. Jayden Jackson was second on the team with a time of 13:08.80. Ulises Martinez ran the course in 14:35.40, and Sebastian Holder finished with a time of 15:00.80.

For the JV Boys, Issac Aguilar led the Cubs with a time of 14:31.00. Hayden Hatfield finished second on the team with a time of 14:46.00. Other Cub JV times were Rowan Jackson at 15:22.60, Zander Maier at 15:45.10, and Jackson Kruse at 16:47.90.

For the Cubette Varsity, Brittany Hajek had a time of 16:10.50, while Bailey Grimes finished at 19:10.30.
