MURDER SUSPECT INDICTED BY AUSTIN CO. GRAND JURY

  

The suspect in a homicide investigation in Austin County was indicted last week by the Austin County Grand Jury.

Kody Lowe was arrested and charged with Murder in the death of 74-year-old Karen McAndrews.

Austin County Sheriff’s deputies were called on May 24th to a reported shooting at a home in the 700 block of Old Highway 36 in Bellville.  Deputies and Bellville police responded and found McAndrews inside the residence.  Authorities determined she was deceased and that she appeared to have been shot with a firearm.

Lowe was one of 18 people indicted last week by the Austin County Grand Jury.  The others include:

Joseph Mesa, indicted for Attempt to Commit Murder and Aggravated Kidnapping Causing Bodily Injury. 

Noah Casanova, Richard Gomez and Andrew Segura, all indicted for Aggravated Assault in Retaliation and Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury.

Tristan Casanova, indicted for Aggravated Assault in Retaliation.

James Graham, indicted for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Yordy Navarro-Gutierrez, indicted for Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant.

Isai Grijalva-Ramos, indicted for Smuggling of Persons.

Jose Irreal Alvarado, indicted for Theft of Property $30,000 - $150,000 and Placement of Serial Number with Intent to Change Identity.

Dinesha Woods, indicted for Abandoning/Endangering a Child with Intent to Return.

Matthew Harrell and Charles Stevenson, both indicted for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

Trey Bartholomaus, indicted for Delivery of Marijuana 0.25 oz. to 5 lbs in a Drug-Free Zone.

Hung Huu Dang, indicted for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

Bryan Ramsey, Michael Satterwhite and Ceselie Williams, all indicted for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The ages of those indicted were not available in the indictment report provided by the Austin County District Clerk’s Office.  District Clerk Sue Murphy said the internet was down on the date of the grand jury meeting, and that future reports should return to the regular format.
