6TH ANNUAL BRAZOS VALLEY GIVES DAY TUESDAY
Tomorrow (Tuesday) is the culmination of the 6th Annual Brazos Valley Gives.
The community-wide day of giving looks to give back to nonprofit organizations across the seven-county region of the Brazos Valley. Early giving has been underway for a month, raising over $250,000, and the final day of the fundraiser is tomorrow.
The list of participating nonprofits includes 133 in Brazos County, 29 in Washington County, 17 in Burleson County, nine in Grimes County, five in Leon County, three in Robertson County and two in Madison County.
Donations can be made online at www.brazosvalleygives.org. They can also be made in-person tomorrow at several locations: the Bryan-College Station Eagle from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., the Caldwell Civic Center from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Navasota Center from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the Washington County Chamber of Commerce from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
All donations pass through directly to the donor’s charity or charities of choice.
Last year, donors raised $1,454,920 and donated 8,754 volunteer hours. This year’s fundraising goal is $1.5 million.
