BURTON FFA TEAMS NOTCH TRIPS TO STATE AFTER AREA CONTESTS
Burton FFA students earned accolades at area contests last week, including a chance to compete at state.
The Burton FFA Dairy Cattle Team placed sixth at the Tarleton State University Area Contest on Wednesday, punching a ticket to the state contest back at Tarleton State on April 24th.
Mia Odom finished as the 15th High Point Individual and Hailey Rudloff ended as the 20th High Point Individual. Also participating in the contest were Reagan Roemer and Kolbie Parker.
The Livestock Team placed third at the Texas A&M Area Contest on Saturday and will compete in the state contest on April 26th back at Texas A&M.
Hailey Rudloff placed as the fourth High Point Individual and Paige Fritsch finished as the 13th High Point Individual. Also competing were Taylor Groce and Bailey Glaesmann.
Additionally, Burton FFA’s Ag Sales and Floral teams placed high at their area contests held on Thursday at Sam Houston State University, including third place for Ag Sales and 12th place for Floral.
The Ag Sales team consists of Lexi Broesche, Laci Broesche, Isaac Matthies and Natalie Hodde. The Floral Team is made up of Zoe Jaeger, Emily Griffith, Kara Kaye and Izzy Means.
The Horse Team, participating in the Texas A&M Area Contest, placed fifth. Its members are Kara Landriault, Amaya Williams, Kolbie Parker and Abigail Dowling.
