WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO HEAR EMS, HISTORICAL COMMISSION REPORTS

A pair of reports will lead Tuesday’s agenda for Washington County Commissioners.

The meeting will begin with a presentation from the Washington County Historical Commission.  That will be followed by the EMS department’s quarterly report.

In action items, commissioners will potentially select a firm for financial audit services and allow the county auditor to enter negotiations regarding terms, cost and audit service details.

The court will then revisit an item tabled from the last meeting, regarding the hiring of an elections clerk in advance of the current employee’s scheduled retirement and a budget amendment from salary contingency for the position.

Other items will include approval of a pay rate for jail transport sergeant and the reappointment of County Judge John Durrenberger and Commissioner Kirk Hanath to the Brazos Valley Council of Governments Board of Directors.

Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
