‘THE SOUND OF TEXAS’ TO DISCUSS SAM HOUSTON’S SPEECH IN BRENHAM

  

A speech made by Sam Houston in Brenham will be the subject of tomorrow’s (Tuesday) edition of “The Sound of Texas” with Tumbleweed Smith.

Washington County Historical Commission Chair Tom Stevens will talk about Houston’s speech at the courthouse on March 31, 1861, as well as the commission’s recent re-enactment of the speech at The Barnhill Center.

“The Sound of Texas” can be heard Monday through Saturday around 7:20 a.m. on AM 1280, FM 101.7 and kwhi.com.
