ROUND TOP HOSTING 153RD SCHUTZENFEST ON SUNDAY
Round Top residents are getting ready for the 153rd celebration of Schutzenfest this Sunday.
The Round Top Rifle Hall at 710 FM 1457 will host an evening of traditional German fun. Doors to the hall are scheduled to open to the public at 3pm.
The Round Top Brass Band performs at 4pm.
Then at 5pm, they will crown the 2025 Schutzenkonig, or “Shooting King”. The new Schutzenkonig will claim his Crown of Cedar and Gold Medal. That will be followed by the ceremonial keg tapping.
The evening concludes with a free dance featuring music by the Vintage Drafts from 5:30-8pm.
A chicken fried steak meal is being served at 6:30pm.
